A teaser of what's to come:
Before/After. The following illustrates the difference between regular photography and the techniques I use: 1. HDR. Four images taken at 1-stop increments balances shadows and highlights. Using custom settings I've developed, I am able to make the image "photo realistic" so that details such as the fireplace mantle are revealed and the "hot" spots in the highlights (lamps and foreground angel) are tempered without drastically altering the image. 2. Image Alignment and Image Blending. Two sets of images were taken: one with the background in precise focus and another with the foreground table and mirror frame in precise focus. By first stacking the images in Photoshop I was able to properly align them so they completely matched. Using Auto Blending, I was able to combine the sharpest parts of each image so that foreground and background were equally sharp. 3. Details. Electrical cables were cloned out.
