The following example illustrates the difference between just getting the shot and creating an image that tells a luxuriously beautiful story about a residential landscape project. The scene was composed of 6 original files, 3 for the top half of the scene and 3 for the bottom half of the scene. Shooting in this manner (with a Canon 24 T/S lens) extends the point-of-view beyond the capability of the lens. The result, when the images are combined (using PTGui, a panoramic stitching application) extends the point-of-view to match more of what our eye would see.
Processing the image in HDR Efex (3 exposures each) and refining in OnOne Perfect Effects enhances the morning glow of the scene. Shades in one of the windows was drawn using Photoshop and plants were added and enhanced, at the client's request.
