As the name implies, business and executive portraits taken at your firm's place of business create a reality based impression of who you are and what you do. This "real" quality results in a narrative that is less posed and more candid looking. Using hand held cameras and relying primarily on natural light, expression is often more natural than in conventional portraiture. You can easily consider different cropping options or black and white processing. Photography generally breaks down into two categories. Engaged Off Camera. Captures the subject engaged in some activity, frequently looking off camera. He or she may be pondering a problem or engaged in conversation with a colleague.
Environmental Portrait. Looking earnestly into the camera. Perhaps in shirt sleeves with the tie pulled down or carrying a folder, the subject is obviously at work.
In both cases, images shot "In Your Space" work well for numerous applications. If there is any slight drawback to this type of photography, the images are less useful for submission to professional and business publications as thumbnail head shots. However, most images can be cropped to a head shot format.
